Taiwan imports over 135,000 metric tons of apples annually, with domestic supply accounting for less than one percent. It is expected that in marketing year (MY) 2024/2025, Taiwan's apple imports will increase to 145,000 metric tons, while domestic supply remains stable at 1250 metric tons. The United States and New Zealand are the main suppliers, with Japan following closely behind.
