Household consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables falls again
According to the latest data published by the Food Consumption Panel of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food for the period from January to August 2023, within the category, the most consumed are fruits, with 2,504 million kilos, 2.3% less than in the same period of 2022, followed by vegetables, with 1,537 million kilos, 2% less and in
the second most consumed category, with 1,537 million kilos, 2% less and in
the third most consumed category, with 2.3% less than in the same period of 2022, followed by vegetables, with 1,537 million kilos, 2% less.
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
