HREZ: More than 1,000 hectares worldwide with High Resistance to Roughness
From a local discovery to its global disruption
It started as a small infection in Israel in 2014 and quickly spread across the country and its neighbours (Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia...). The infection was described by a Jordanian team as a new virus in 2015 and was given the name Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV). This virus belongs to the
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
