The interannual inflation in Serbia is nearly two percentage points higher than what the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) had predicted, leading to a downward revision in the projected GDP growth. NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabaković pointed out a 36% year-on-year rise in fruit prices in July as a major factor.
