Italian fruit and vegetables are increasingly safe. Italy is above the EU average both in terms of the quantitỳ analysed and the qualitỳ of the results achieved. The percentage of residues above the limits of plant protection products is minimal, falling from 1.8% in 2019 to 1.1% in 2021.
