The Australasian kiwifruit producer, Seeka Limited, started harvesting SunGold kiwifruit in Gisborne today (Monday, 3 March), with several orchards in the region prepared for the harvest. The Gisborne orchards, Harpers Road and College, owned and operated by Ngai Tukairangi Trust, as well as the Hawkes Bay orchards, are also ready for harvesting.
