The 2025 kiwifruit harvest in New Zealand has commenced, with the first fruit being picked just outside Edgecumbe in the Bay of Plenty. This marks the earliest harvest ever recorded. Growers Mark and Josie Ruiter, along with their Orchard Manager Sarah Davidson, were thrilled to be the first in New Zealand to start harvesting kiwifruit.
