In Adana, one of Turkey's main citrus production areas, mandarin harvesting was disrupted last month due to a nine-day strike by agricultural workers. This led to fruit remaining on the trees, causing orchard prices to drop to between 3 and 5 lira per kilogram, approximately equivalent to US$0.10 to US$0.17.
