Naogaon, historically known for rice cultivation, has emerged as a prominent mango-producing district in Bangladesh. The cultivation of mangoes has significantly expanded from just under 6,000 hectares in 2015 to over 30,300 hectares currently. In 2024, farmers harvested approximately 400,000 tons of mangoes, with a total value of Tk 30 billion.
