ALDI increases purchases of domestic melons and watermelons by 10%.
Between April and September, the company will purchase more than 6,400 tonnes of produce (there were 5,800 tonnes in 2022), thus reinforcing its commitment to local and seasonal produce, thanks to the trusting and long-term relationships it establishes with its suppliers in Spain.
This purchase will ensure the supply of melons and watermelons to its more than 400
suppliers.
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
