Almeria: Watermelon cultivation reduced by 2,500 hectares
According to a survey carried out by the agricultural organisation Asaja-Almería, the decline in the Almerian area under watermelons, which are now coming onto the markets, is being seen in all production areas.
In the Almeria and Nijar area, a slight decrease in watermelon acreage (10 % to 15 %) is expected compared to the previous season.
