Fresh Direct creates innovative solution to watermelon rind waste

Fresh Direct has come up with an innovative food-waste solution with the development of a new Watermelon Rind Chutney.
Using surplus watermelon rind that would otherwise have been wasted, the foodservice supplier claims the creation will save 10 tonnes of waste a year.
The launch follows on from its Pickled Watermelon, which won a Great Taste Award.
