In April, Morocco sold more watermelon in the EU than Spain and at a higher price
According to data prepared by Hortoinfo, in April of this year, Morocco sold a total of 9.14 million kilos of watermelon to EU markets. This is 248.8% more volume than Spain marketed on the Community market, as in that month Spain marketed less than 2.62 million kilos of watermelon in the EU.
In addition, the price of the Moroccan product was also higher than the Spanish product.
