Melon season in Moldova begins with the lowest prices in three years.

This week, some farms in southern and central Moldova started harvesting early watermelons and melons grown under protective agrofibre, as reported by Logos Press. Wholesale prices are still relatively low: watermelons are being sold for 8–10 MDL/kg (€0.42–0.53/kg), and melons for 15–18 MDL/kg.
