Methomyl alert for watermelons in Morocco

The European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) has reported the presence of Methomyl, an unauthorised pesticide, in watermelons from Morocco.

On analysis, the results show the presence of 0.38+/-0.19 mg/kg - ppm, when the Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) is 0.015 mg/kg - ppm.

Spain notified the agency

of the presence of 0.38+/-0.19 mg/kg - ppm.
