Peaches and nectarines, depressing period. Consumption down by 50%
Summer is finally starting and consumption of typical summer fruit should explode... so at least it has been the case for melons and watermelons, which, thanks to the first warm weather, have had a sprint in sales (for more on this click here). Unfortunately for peaches and nectarines the situation is diametrically opposed; in fact, demand for stone fruit is sluggish and there seems to be no interest.
