You are a 'pumpkin historian', when did your commercialisation begin and what is your experience after so many years?
It was more than 30 years ago. We started with the traditional variety of peanut squash because we were looking for a product to complement the summer seasonality of melon and watermelon, the products with which our activity began. The
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
