Quarantine pests found in melon and tomato shipments from Uzbekistan in the Orenburg region
On September 18 and 19, officials of the territorial department of Rosselkhoznadzor, identified quarantine pests in four batches of fresh melons received from Uzbekistan. Namely: the polyphagous humpback fly (Megaselia scalaris) and the melon fly (Myiopardalis pardalina). The total volume of contaminated shipments is more than 85 tons.
