A pair of Yubari melons, grown in Hokkaido, were sold for 3 million yen (€17,620) at the first auction of the season in Sapporo. The auction took place at the Sapporo City Central Wholesale Market starting at 7 a.m. Hokuyupack Co., a company specializing in melon packaging and sales, conducted the auction.
