MEPs listen to industry and lift restrictions on the use of packaging for fruit and vegetables
The plenary session of the European Parliament adopted, last Wednesday, its position on the proposal for a Regulation on packaging and packaging waste in which it eliminates the restrictions on the use in the marketing of fruit and vegetables initially proposed by the Commission, which shows, according to FEPEX, that it has taken into account the opposition shown by the sector that considers that the
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
