More than half of food waste is generated at household level
Food waste is discarded food and associated inedible parts (such as pits or hard parts of fruit). Food waste occurs at all stages of the food chain, from farm to table. However, most of it is generated at consumption, which is a key area of interest for waste prevention programmes.

"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
