The European Commission has approved a proposal to allocate approximately $54 million (€50 million) from the agricultural reserve to assist fruit, nut, and vegetable farmers in Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Romania. Farmers in these countries experienced production losses.
