Exports of walnuts from Moldova and Ukraine to the EU have remained stable.

Moldova exported close to 2,500 tonnes of walnut kernels to the European Union from January to October 2025, which was almost the same as the previous year, as reported by Logos Press. This places Moldova as the fifth largest supplier of walnut kernels to the EU, following Ukraine (13,870 tonnes) and Chile (17,140 tonnes).
