The Macadamia Nut Processors Association of Kenya (MACNUT) and local growers have refuted allegations that government policies have caused a decrease in macadamia prices from around $1.00 to $0.60 per kilogram. Jane Maigua, Chairperson of MACNUT, clarified that the policy guarantees that no farmer will receive less than $0.67 per kilogram.
