FAS/San José predicts that orange production will increase by around 11 percent in marketing year (MY) 2024/25 to reach 250,000 metric tons. Production in MY 2023/24 was lower than anticipated, at 225,000 metric tons, due to irregular rainfall patterns linked to El Niño weather.
