EU detects black spot for the first time on oranges from Egypt
The European citrus sector is not one for scares. If a few days ago the Valencian Farmers' Association (AVA-ASAJA) reported that South Africa leads the ranking in the number of interceptions of citrus pests and diseases (22 detections of black spot and 2 of false moth, among others), now the organisation presided over by Cristóbal Aguado warns that the European Union
is not going to be able to keep up with the number of interceptions of citrus pests and diseases.
