The PDO expects to harvest around 25,000,000 kilos (25,000 MT) of pears this year, which is an increase on last year, due to the good weather conditions over the last few weeks and the fact that the drought problem experienced in April and May has been overcome. Last year, 21 million kilos were harvested.
