"There is a high demand for organic pears as well as for conventionally grown pears, whose supply is lagging behind this year," explains Gunther De Vadder of the Belgian cooperative and auction house BelOrta. "My neck aches from shaking my head during the last Fruit Logistica in Berlin. Even our cold stores are practically sold out", says Gunther De Vadder.
