Portugal starts producing Eden Gold pears

Portugal has officially started production of the new Eden Gold® pear, the latest cultivar from the Israeli breeding company Ben Dor, in collaboration with Pépinières Escande, responsible for the development of the variety in the Mediterranean basin. At Fruit Logistica, Pépinières Escande announced that it had signed a partnership agreement with the Gold Pear Consortium.
