Saxony-Anhalt: Pear harvest declined in 2024 due to night frosts.

Due to the night frosts in April 2024, the harvest quantity was only at a good third (36.4%) of the 10-year average (440 t). Since 2002, in no year were fewer pears harvested. So far, the lowest harvest in the mentioned period was 260 t in 2020.
