Uruguay is now able to export fresh persimmons (Diospyros kaki) to the Federative Republic of Brazil, following the publication of a regulation formalizing this authorization in the Official Journal of the Union (DOU). Brazil, with a population of over 211 million inhabitants, represents a significant market for Uruguayan exporters.
