One of the most complex aspects of last year was the high cost of the logistics chain - due to multifactorial factors, including a war between Russia and Ukraine that is still ongoing - which impacted the margins of the industry, to a lesser extent for dried plums and, to a greater extent, for fresh plums, which are mainly destined for China, a country that is still living with
the high cost of the supply chain
of plums.
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
