There are still Polish raspberries.

Just like last year and two years ago, in the current season, thanks to good weather, we have an extended season of trading in domestic raspberries. The duration of the current campaign may not be much longer than usual, but there will always be a few extra days in November when domestic raspberries will still be available. It is mainly small-scale wholesale, but there are still offers for slightly larger quantities.

The supply of domestic raspberries is already quite limited, but this is not surprising in the final phase of the season. Therefore, the higher prices of these fruits should not be surprising either. But are they actually higher? Well, not entirely.

The prices of dessert raspberries did indeed increase, but that was in the second half of October. This trend was then halted. In the last few days, we have had stable prices in the range of 24.00-36.00 PLN/kg, depending on the packaging. For such a late stage of the season, this is not much. In small wholesale, it usually does not exceed 40.00 PLN/kg.

The current raspberry prices are therefore at the same level as in the same period last year. In wholesale trade on a slightly larger scale, the average price is now 30.00 PLN/kg, just like last year. And just two years ago, it was slightly more expensive. At the end of the first decade of November, it was 31.00 PLN/kg, and at the very end of the 2022 campaign, it was 33.00 PLN/kg.

Let's also pay attention to another fact. The current prices (average 30.00 PLN/kg) are lower than in September and early October when the average reached 34.00 PLN/kg. This is another season in a row with such a situation. Finally, one more piece of information - the raspberry season in Spain usually starts in the 37th-38th week of the year. We are now in week 45, and there is still no information about significant trade in these fruits.
