This year we can see how traditional crops in British agriculture could become more than anecdotal. Prices continue to rise (by 17.3% in April, according to Kantar) and consumers are reacting by buying less and opting for cheaper products. This behaviour is affecting supermarket sales as supermarkets try to contain price rises.
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
