UK: Yields and cultivation area for vegetables decreased in 2023 - also a decline in production volume for fruits

The production volume of fruit decreased by 12% to 585,000 tons. The cultivation area for vegetables also declined, dropping by 6.5% to 101,000 hectares. The weather played an important role in this decline, as a wet spring delayed sowing and a dry early summer.
