The value of fruit exports from Peru exceeded that of Chile from January to October 2025. According to Fresh Fruit, Peru's export value was over US$11.300 billion during this period, while Chile's was US$10.700 billion. In 2024, Peru exported agricultural goods worth US$12.300 billion, with fruit being a major component, while Chile exported US$13.100 billion, also with fruit as a dominant category. read more

Peruvian grapes are currently the top choice in Van Dijk Foods' selection. "Italy's grape season is wrapping up earlier this year. While there is still some supply available, the quality isn't as high as before. Typically, we would continue with Italian grapes until the end of December, but that won't be possible this time." read more

Korean grapes have been officially granted entry into the Philippine market after the successful conclusion of lengthy export quarantine negotiations. The Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency announced on November 30th that discussions that began in 2007 were finalized on November 25th. Throughout the years, Korean grapes had been undergoing scrutiny for compliance with Philippine regulations. read more

Earlier this week, the Cape Business Chamber released the figures of hours lost to wind, calling November 2025 "the Port of Cape Town's worst month for five years in terms of lost operation", which, according to the Chamber, equates to sixteen full days of downtime largely caused by severe wind. read more
