The first asparagus was grown by Andries De Pauw from De Molenkouter (from Sint-Katelijne-Waver) and purchased by Délidis from Gierle for 2,000 euros (250 euros per 500-gram tray). BelOrta doubled this amount, raising a total of 4,000 euros for the Yamina-Krossa Fund.
