Lower Saxony: Asparagus farms supply top-quality vegetables
For the currently around 340 asparagus farms in Lower Saxony, a busy season comes to an end when asparagus harvesting traditionally stops on St. John's Day (24 June). Due to the cold spring with relatively few hours of sunshine, the harvest got off to a relatively late start this year, the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture (LWK) announced.
