In 2024, the lowest harvest quantity since 2016 was recorded (back then: 18,174 tons). By calculation, one kilogram of asparagus was harvested per inhabitant in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2024 (population as of December 31, 2023). At the beginning of the survey in 2012, the harvest quantity was 17,035 tons.
