Korea has successfully updated the international standard for kimchi, with the addition of the term "kimchi cabbage" to the Codex Alimentarius during the 48th session held in Rome from November 10 to 14. The Codex Alimentarius Commission, which operates under the World Health Organization and the Food and Agriculture Organization, was responsible for this update.
