W sezonie 2023/2024 Hiszpania importowała rekordową liczbę 16,32 miliona kilogramów cukinii za 18,05 miliona euro, według obliczeń hiszpańskiej agencji informacyjnej Hortoinfo opartych na danych z usługi statystycznej Estacom. Maroko było głównym dostawcą Hiszpanii, przynosząc 10,75 miliona kilogramów (65,90% całkowitej dostawy).
