In July 2024, Peru exported 4,688 tons of ginger for $9.7 million, which was a decrease of 20.3% in volume but an increase of 9.4% in value compared to the 5,885 tons of ginger it exported for $8.9 million in the same month last year. This increase in value is primarily due to a 37.3% rise in the price of ginger compared to the previous year.
