Hamburg: Number of vegetable farms continues to decline

In total, the farms cultivated vegetables on 171 hectares in open fields and in greenhouses and under plastic tunnels (so-called high walk-in protective covers) in 2024. This represented a decrease of four percent compared to the previous year (2023: 178 hectares).
