Lower Saxony: Kale cultivation recovers only slowly
According to the results of the Lower Saxony State Office for Statistics (LSN), in 2022 a total of 830 farms in Lower Saxony cultivated vegetables in the open on an area of about 22,000 ha. The harvested quantity was around 573,300 t. Compared to the previous year, the number of farms fell by 4.3%, the size of the cultivated area by 1.9% and the harvest quantity by 11%.
