For food industry investors, the cold-chain support facilities in the master plan are a significant improvement for Kenya's horticulture sector. Kenya exports cut flowers and fresh vegetables to Europe and the United Kingdom, and the cold-chain facilities are expected to boost this trade. The sector's exports are projected to grow at 4% annually, outpacing imports at 3%.
