Senegal continues to struggle with post-harvest losses in onions, potatoes, and other vegetables due to limited storage capacity, high temperatures, and seasonal oversupply. Research cited by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) shows that onion losses typically average around 40%, but can increase to as much as 60%.
