The Department of Agriculture (DA) in the Philippines has announced the approval for the importation of 16,000 metric tons (MT) of yellow onions by the end of the year, due to depleting stocks. DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. disclosed the decision following a memorandum from the Bureau of Plant Industry.
