Uzbekistan has recorded the lowest retail price for onions in the world, sharing that position with Egypt. According to the updated Numbeo database published on 8 May 2026, the average retail price for 1 kg of onions on the domestic market stood at $0.38. This placed Uzbekistan last, at 101st.
