Is this the end of the drop in parsley prices?

The price situation in the market for parsley root has stabilized. Prices in wholesale have not changed significantly for the past two weeks. Selling prices for washed parsley, packed in bags, have remained in the range of 2.60-4.00 PLN/kg during this time. Earlier, in the first week of the current month, we saw a significant downward correction in the average price in this trading segment, by -12 percent.

Despite this correction, the average price of parsley managed to defend itself against falling below the level from the same period of the previous season. However, the positive difference compared to last year's prices has been eliminated. Unfortunately, we also have an unfavorable phenomenon from the perspective of parsley producers - the current average price is no longer higher than the prices from the record-breaking 2018/2019 season. In November 2018, there was already an upward trend in prices for this vegetable in the Polish wholesale market.

Nevertheless, the stabilization of prices in recent weeks is a good sign for producers. Although there may still be price decreases (as was the case last year), the likelihood of this happening decreases with each passing day. The supply of parsley in the market is not large, and there are no longer any clearance sales of low-quality goods. In addition, inferior parsley is continuously going for cooking and processing purposes.

Therefore, there is a real chance that the seasonal, autumnal period of parsley price decline is already over, and the beginning of the upward phase is approaching rapidly. Last year, the upward trend started on December 5th. How will it be this year?
