Farmers in Nabinagar upazila in Bangladesh are increasing the cultivation of the Okinawa sweet potato variety as demand and yields continue to rise. The Japanese variety was first introduced on an experimental basis around three years ago. During the current season, cultivation expanded to nearly 30 acres.
